Powerful and
cost-effective desktop Xtore™ StudioRAID™ subsystem optimized for video, audio,
broadcast, film, and animation editing professionals
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., - February 23, 2010 - On
the heels of debuting its Xtore™ (www.xtore.com) Studio
series of Avid Certified local
storage subsystems, Advanced Industrial
Computer Inc. (AIC), an industry leading storage and server OEM/ODM solutions
provider, today announced that its Xtore StudioRAID™ 5Ti is now available in
the U.S. through Ingram Micro Inc., (www.ingrammicro.com/), (NYSE: IM), the
world's largest technology distributor and a leading technology sales,
marketing and logistics company.
In support of the recent Xtore StudioRAID launch, Ingram
Micro and AIC are working together to enable channel partners to effectively
market, sell and support the new Xtore storage solutions which are proven interoperable
with Avid Media Composer®, Symphony™ and NewsCutter® video editing solutions.
"Ingram Micro plays a pivotal role in helping our channel
partners to accelerate the marketing and sales cycles around emerging
technologies, solutions and services," said Tom Hogan, senior director, Ingram
Micro Components Division, U.S. "AIC's Xtore storage solutions offer solid performance,
reliability and scalability, as well as the assurance of Avid Certification.
We are pleased to bring AIC's innovative Xtore storage technologies to market
in the U.S. and help our channel partners take advantage of the growing sales
opportunities within the professional video editing market."
Xtore StudioRAID 5Ti is a desktop RAID subsystem designed
for high performance storage demand. With 12Gbps wide SAS bandwidth host and
expansion interface supporting both SAS and SATA drives, Xtore StudioRAID 5Ti
quadruples the standard data transfer rate of a conventional desktop SATA RAID
subsystem. Ideal for digital video environments that requires a high level of
data protection and performance, Xtore StudioRAID 5Ti utilizes the ATTO R380 leading
RAID controller providing 3-Gb SAS/SATA II connectivity.
"Our long-standing relationship with Ingram Micro furthers
our ability to provide a wider range of quality solutions for the professional
video editing market at an unmatched value," said Gene Lee, senior vice president,
AIC. "The Avid certification of the StudioRAID 5Ti means that it's rigorously
tested and must pass strict design, inspection, performance and qualification
criteria. Add in unique features and high performance and it becomes clear that
Xtore is the optimum storage of choice for Avid editors around the world."
Xtore StudioRAID 5Ti will be available in late February with
an MSRP of $4795 for a single unit of 5TB of reliable storage. Xtore StudioRAID
5Ti is part of a planned series of affordable Xtore Studio grade storage specifically
optimized for content creators in film, video, audio, broadcast and animation.
